ROGERSVILLE - Charles Maurice Euverard, age 83 years, of Rogersville, TN passed away on December 31, 2023. Although you are reading that Charles M. Euverard has passed away, his relationship with Christ gives us the assurance he is with Christ now. Billy Graham once said, "Someday you will hear or read that I am dead. Don't you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God." The same is true for Charles.
Charles Maurice was born to Charles and Pauline Euverard on July 4, 1940, in Dayton, TN. He loved football, cars, and boats as a young boy. He graduated from Rhea County High School in 1957. He married his sweetheart, Patricia Manning, on February 9, 1962. He worked as an iron worker for TVA, Eastman, and others until he retired. In his free time, you could find him working on his farm or riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles, or driving to every football game his son, Marty, coached.
Charles and Patricia (Pat) had 4 children who were his absolute pride and joy. He loved them unconditionally and always had words of encouragement for them. He was an example to them of hard work and strength. Although he was a tough man, he had a heart of gold and would willingly give his last to someone in need. He told his children every time he talked to them, "I love you and say your prayers."
He was a great friend to many and never met a stranger. He loved joking with people and often played good natured pranks on his friends and neighbors. He will be remembered as a man who loved God and who was a loving husband, father, and friend.
Charles Maurice was preceded in death by his father, Charles Euverard; his mother, Pauline Dugger Euverard; and his wife, Patricia Manning Euverard.
Charles is survived by his children Ann Euverard Combs and John Combs of Chattanooga, TN; Cindy Euverard Snodgrass of Denver, NC; Marty Euverard and Holly Euverard of Franklin, TN; and Becky Euverard Lambert and Chris Lambert of Denver, NC.
Grandchildren Kelton Combs, Josh Combs, Danielle Kimberly, Andrew Snodgrass, Megan Elam, Jessica Euverard, Cole Euverard, Brody Lambert, and Chloe Lambert. Great-grandchildren Jake Elam, Caroline Elam, Luke Elam, Ben Elam, Hollie Claire Elam, David Kimberly, and Olive Kimberly.
