Charles Arthur Kleinpeter, age 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 10, 2024, at his home in Zachary, LA. He was born to Sonny and Verlin Kleinpeter on January 27, 1958, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was known as "The Mayor" of his neighborhood where he resided for over 40 years.
Charles is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Glenda McRight; sons, Daryl Kleinpeter and wife, Treva and Brandon Kleinpeter and wife, Kortnee; grandchildren, B.J., Autumn, Brody, Randi Kate, and Charlee Kleinpeter; sisters, Nancy Kleinpeter, and Karen Moss and husband, Tim; brothers, James Kleinpeter and wife, Lois and Jack Kleinpeter and wife, Karen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his father, Arthur "Sonny" Kleinpeter; mother, Verlin Morales Kleinpeter; sister, Peggy Kleinpeter; and niece, Heidi Bourque.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker LA.
