Charles Randall Light, better known as Randy, passed away on December 22, 2022. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Winona Byrd Kelley Light, his father, John Charles Light, and his brother, Edward Alan Light. He is survived by his nieces, Libbey Light, Kelley Harbin (Adam), sister-in-law, Margaret Light, cousins, Cindy Kelley, Sally Andrew (David), Bob Andrew (Katie), Kolby Andrew, Becky Irwin (Jon), and Kylie Irwin.
Randy graduated from Dobbins-Bennett High School, then attended Tennessee Tech. Afterwards, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973-1976. Randy was kind, caring and had a deep love for his family, friends and animals. Anyone who came in contact with Randy knew he had a big heart for rescuing cats and nurturing them back to health.
A small service was held at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with immediate family. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal shelter.
