LOUDON - Clayton Ellis Bowen, age 79, of Loudon went home to be with the Lord and his wife on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Clayton was an avid fisherman and woodworker. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from A.E. Staley where he was a Quality Control Lab Tech.
Clayton is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon E. Bowen; parents, Clyde and Velma Bowen; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Geneva Mullins. He is survived by children, Chris Bowen (April), Jerramie Bowen (Julie), and Stephanie Smelcer (John); grandchildren, Chase (Chelsie), Austin, (Kayla), Zane, Caleb, Hannah (Austin), Blaine (Chloe), Lindsey (Ethan), and Bryson; great-grandchildren, River and Malachi; sisters, Elizabeth (Tom), and Lotis (Bill); brother-in-law, Terry Light (Kathy); and sister-in-law, Debbie Mullins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 7 PM with Dr. Ronny Jones officiating. Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations in charge of the arrangements.
