HILTONS, VA – Clifton Lee Kern entered into the Kingdom of Heaven September 17, 2023 at the age of 44.
Clifton was a truck driver by trade and also worked for Duffield Regional Jail for 5 years. He was a man of God and would take the time to pray for anyone who needed Prayer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Mamie Kern, Stanley Town, VA, Lucy Barnette, Mabe, VA and Virgil Redman, Stanley Town, VA.
Clifton is survived by his parents who loved him with their whole hearts, Dad, Terry Kern, Hiltons, VA, mom, Faye Boggs, Hiltons, VA; son, Wayland Kern, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Heather Vanzant (Stephen), Church Hill, TN, Tina Kern, Florida, Amanda Clark (Dustin), Florida; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 aunts and 1 uncle.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at 6:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Darthula Baptist Church, 1741 Lunsford Mill Rd, Hiltons, VA 24258 to visit prior to the funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his mom or dad to ease the burden of costs.
