Coy Harold Klepper went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 20, 2024. He was born July 9, 1933, to the late Kelsie Klepper and Bonnie William Klepper. Coy was a charter member of Cedarview Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, teacher, and church treasurer. He loved and was very active in his church. Coy loved to work in his yard and flowers. He was a member of the Senior Citizens and walked every day with his friends. He was an avid knife collector and was a member of East Tennessee Knife Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Green Klepper; brother, Merle Klepper; sister-in-law, Reba Kilgore Klepper; and niece, Becky Bowman.
He is survived by his son, Todd Klepper (Lori); grandson, Matthew Klepper (Kaytee); granddaughter, Morgan Klepper; great-granddaughter, Pheonix Klepper; step-grandchildren, Ciara, Alexis, and Aiden Bearup; brother, Wayne Klepper; sister-in-law, Ann Klepper; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Morelock and Pastor Duane Williams officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at East Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors by The American Legion Posts 3/265.
