D'Anna Marie Olterman Clendenin was born in Kingsport on November 22,1982 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. D'Anna received her elementary and secondary education through Kingsport City Schools and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2001. She went to ETSU and received a Certificate in Surgical Technology from Northeast State Technical College. She also worked for Kingsport City Schools as a special needs instructional assistant.
D'Anna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, D.B. and Irene Carter and her paternal grandparents, James (Shine), and Marie (Dolly) Olterman.
D'Anna is survived by her two sons, Carter and Jaxon Clendenin; her parents, Tom and Dee Olterman; her brother Derek Olterman and her nephew, Bentley Olterman and niece, Carly Olterman. D'Anna is survived by three aunts, Kathy Foerster (Bill), Lisa Olterman, and Suzanne Dugger (Brent). D'Anna is also survived by a special godmother, Ann Patterson of Sunset Beach, North Carolina. She also has a special cousin, Allen Patterson from Roanoke, Va. and a great aunt, Becky Darnell and cousin, Darrell Darnell from Vinton, Va. D'Anna grew up with special cousins MaryBeth Foerster Ritz, Rebecca Foerster Curtis, Andrew Foerster, Lindsey Dugger, and Emily Dugger Rock. She also leaves her furry friend, Lucky.
The family would like to thank HMG and Emily Price, NP for their loving care of D'Anna as well as Dr. Andrew Singer and his staff at Allergy and Asthma Affiliates of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 4:00-6:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with The Rev. Jonathan "Johnny" Tuttle officiating. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in D'Anna's name to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 5202, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45201-5202.
