I only met this wonderful man once when I was a bridesmaid in his daughter´s wedding. What stood out to me was the immense love for his daughter while ,relishing in the joy she found in her life. He was unbelievably loving and accepting of the friends she had found and who continue to love and cherish her. He was kind. He had integrity. He raised two girls who he can always be proud of, and they will always be proud of having such a gracious soul as he as their daddy.

Nothing brings life into perspective quite like losing a friend or family member. Or hearts are heavy that this world lost such a wonderful person. Doctor Dan was a friend and a mentor and one of the most incredible people on the planet. Our hearts also go out to Fay, Gina, and Lisa knowing that the heartache of losing family never ceases. The generosity and compassion of the Griffin family has left an indelible impression that will ripple for generations to come. Thank you for the impact you've had on so many people!

Some of my earliest memories were attending Mill Creek Baptist Church with my grandmother. His father was our pastor. I loved to sit with him during "preaching ". I was a little girl with a crush. I remember his red hair and his wonderful personality. He went off to college and I never saw him again but have thought of him often throughout the years. God bless your family. Robin Dillow Nelms

I was saddened to hear the news of Dr. Griffin´s death. I met Dan in the 60´s, was a pharmacy technician who knew the Crawfords through Sullivan Drug, and was a pharmacist who was always happy to see him in the halls of hospitals or talk on the phone. We would remark on Sullivan Gardens and Fall Branch. He was a hard worker, proud of his family, and a remarkable man. I am sorry for your family´s loss. His legacy has many wonderful contributions in so many different categories that he definitely made his mark.

I am sorry for your loss. I was raised in the Lone Star Community as was Daniel. We went to grade school together. Daniel was a fine boy and I always knew he would excel in life. I am praying for his family because I know he is with God. My name is Steve Holden and may God be with you
