Danny Rose Obituary

Danny Edward Rose

March 24, 2025

KINGSPORT - Danny Edward Rose, 72 of Kingsport, TN passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2025, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay L. Rose and Opal Rose Dykes of Kingsport, TN. His late wife Patricia Rose of Kingsport, TN.

He is survived by his wife Susie, who lovingly cared for Danny throughout his many illnesses and remained his steadfast companion until the very end. Danny is also survived by his sons Jason (Tracie) Rose of Kingsport, TN, and Carson (Amy) Rose of Greenville, TN; stepdaughters Kaela (Austin) Axelrod of Columbus, OH and Riley "Wally" Axelrod of Kingsport, TN; brothers David "Butch" Rose of Kingsport, TN, Jimmy (Kathy) Rose of Church Hill, TN; sisters Sherry Rose York of Kingsport, TN and Rita Rose of Kingsport, TN; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Danny made a living with his father and brothers, who became known as the Four Roses. Soon enough the Four Roses transformed into Rose Construction, who over the years-built hundreds of homes in the Kingsport Area. Danny's work led him to become a master operator of heavy equipment. There was not a single piece of equipment Danny couldn't operate. Danny was also a gifted woodworker, whose passion for the craft created hundreds of extraordinary pieces of art in his life.

Danny had a passion for motorcycles that began at a very young age. He spent many days with his brothers and friends riding his dirt bike through trails all over the area. Over time Danny traded his dirt bike for Harley's and never looked back.

Along with his talents and interests, Danny was also a friend to many. He never knew a stranger and was never one. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

A receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, April 5, 202,5 at Southview Community Church, 1235 Moreland Drive, Kingsport, TN 37663 from 1 pm to 2 pm with a celebration of Danny's life to follow with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. We are saddened by the loss of a beautiful soul. We can still picture him going up and down the hill on his little car and smiling away as we were having our home built. Rest in peace dearest friend.
