David Larry Copas, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 surrounded by his family. Larry was born on July 26, 1942 to the late James and Elizabeth Copas.
Larry attended Sullivan High School. He loved farming, boating and fishing. He was a member of Beech Creek Baptist Church.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Copas; sisters, Mable Sensabaugh, Janie Chandler, and Sue Ward; brothers, Charles, James (Poodle), Bobby and Wayne Copas; and son, Jeff Copas.
He is survived by his wife, IvaNell Copas; children, Teresa Nolan (Tom) of Texas, David Copas of Texas, Julie Copas of Kingsport; grandchildren, Kevin, Ashley, Brittany, Rachel and Josh; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bobby Bernard officiating.
