KINGSPORT - We're writing this with heavy hearts and in loving memory of David Eugene Sexton, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
When David wasn't calling to check on one of his kids, he was likely found riding around on his Harley Davidson, building a new piece of furniture, or having a beer with his buddies. He wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off his back or even the food off his plate if you were in need. He was a good father, son, brother, and man. David will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharetta Gaye Sexton, his parents, Iva and Eugene Sexton, and his sister, Pamela Sexton.
He is survived by his loving children, David Landon Sexton and Victoria Lynn Sexton; his grandchildren, Connor Sexton, and Makenna Sexton; and his sisters, Carol Ketron and Peggy Sexton Castle, as well as many extended family members, cousins, and friends.
He has requested to be cremated, so we will not be holding any formal services.
This obituary is lovingly written by the Sexton family. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve them.

Hi I´m Donald Casebolt, son of Geraldine Sexton-Rucker, David´s cousin. I never had the fortune to meet David in person, however I got to know him through his posts on Facebook, as well as the instant messages we shared over the past few years, and he was an amazing person! He loved people very much and was especially close to my mother. I had the pleasure to speak with him on the phone about six weeks ago and the 10 minutes we shared will be priceless. He had me laughing, and shared his love of people through the words he said. Rest in peace cousin, until I meet you in person. Signed Geri and Donny
