David Leon VanDyke

GULF SHORES, AL - David Leon VanDyke, age 56, of Gulf Shores, Alabama passed away suddenly Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home. David was born September 23,1968, as the youngest of three brothers in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was an active member of First Christian Church, Kingsport and was a South High School alumnus. Most of his life was spent in Kingsport with his family but his final ten years were enjoyed in Gulf Shores, Alabama. David developed a love for the Gulf coast with beach life, good fishing and most of all a loving family and many close friends that loved him.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia "Pat" VanDyke, daughter, Keisha VanDyke and brother, James "Jim" VanDyke.

Those left to cherish David's memory are his daughter, Kesi VanDyke; father, Harvey VanDyke; brother, Reese VanDyke (Melissa); sister-in-law, Brenda VanDyke; nieces and nephew Amber VanDyke, Hunter VanDyke, Heather VanDyke, Jackson Bailey (Laura), Janet Lamber (Stewart) and Jimbo Bailey; grand nieces and nephews: Braden VanDyke, Teiran Taylor, Lauren Bailey, Oliver Bailey, Everly Lambert, Tucker Lambert and D. J. Weaver.

Visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 800 Truxton Drive, Kingsport Tennessee. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Minister Philp Sams officiating.
