KINGSPORT - Deanna Cheak Franklin, age 64, of Kingsport, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on the morning of Monday, November 27, 2023, after an admirable fight against cancer.
She is survived by her mother Rebecca McGee, her stepfather Phil McGee, her father Bill Cheak, her stepmother Andrea Cheak, her brothers Billy and Matt Cheak, her daughter Kaitlyn Franklin, and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by many loved ones, including her sister Carol Mace (Cheak), her son Michael "Keith" Franklin, her aunt Johnny Ann Combs, and all of her grandparents. A celebration of her life will be officiated by Reverend Eddie McAmis on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 am in the mausoleum chapel of the Washington County Memory Gardens in Johnson City, TN. A private entombment service for the family will be held at a later date. The family requests that if you have a photo of a special memory that you have with Deanna to bring a copy of it for them to keep. While flowers will be appreciated, the family encourages donations to the International Myeloma Foundation.
