Debra Cordle September 4, 1969 - September 11, 2024
FT. BLACKMORE, VA - Debra Diane Cordle, 55, Ft. Blackmore, VA, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at her residence.
Debra was born in Kingsport, TN, on September 4, 1969, to Pansy Loraine (Sexton) Darnell, and the late Howard Blaine Lane.
In addition to her father, her stepfather, Howard Lee Darnell; granddaughter, Angel Cordle; brother, Anthony Marshall (Huck) Lane; brother-in-law, Freddie Cordle; father-in-law, Fred Cordle; nephews, Andrew Eugene Darnell, and Tyler Eugene Tipton preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband and special care giver, Randy Ellis Cordle; mother, Pansy Loraine Darnell; daughters, Kayla Noel Cordle and Crystal Dawn Shutts (Chip); sons, Steven Eugene Baker (Angela), Matthew Todd Baker (Kelly), Christopher Duane Cordle, and Shawn Ryan Cordle; sisters, Michelle Lane Hunley (James), Norma Fay Gibson (Jim), and Leslie Whiffen; brothers, Mickey Blaine Lane (Rachel), Charles Emmett Lane, Jimmy Eugene Darnell (Laura), Teddy Ray Darnell (Ollie), Howard Lee Darnell, Jr., and James Lane (Della); mother-in-law, Frankie Cordle; 13 grandchildren; precious dog, CoCo, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Scott Tipton and Rev. Jimmy Darnell officiating. Tim and April Baldwin, and Owen Lane will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Cordle Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45p.m., for the graveside service.
Matthew Baker, Steven Baker, Shawn Cordle, Justin Duty, Christopher Cordle, and Dylan Sanders will serve as pallbearers. Mike Cordle, Tucker Barker, Blake Cordle, Ethan Cordle, Tim Cordle, Mickey Lane, Charles Lane will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at any time at the home of her mother, Pansy Darnell.
