Dennis Darnell Obituary
KINGSPORT – Dennis Lee Darnell, 64 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Norton, VA, he had lived in Kingsport for most of his life. He was a fan of NASCAR and UT football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Fields Darnell; brothers, Richard and Terry Darnell; sister, Louise Boggs.
Dennis is survived by his significant other, Tonia Tranbarger; Tyquia Tranbarger sisters, Judy Lawson and Nancy Darnell; brothers, Gary Darnell and Ronald "Lynn" Darnell (Alyssa); several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Allen Culbertson officiating.
