Don Curd May 17, 1939- April 29, 2024
TELFORD - Don Curd, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather died April 29, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic vehicle crash in Telford, TN. He was born in Watauga, TN on May 17, 1939, to Ruth and Roy Curd. He attended Mary Hughes High School and ETSU.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister (Judy Curd), wife, (Jackie Curd), and sons Donald Robert Curd II and Kris Curd.
He is survived by his Children: Cindy (Jim) Eldred, Donna (Jeff) Payne, Jacque (Gabe) Garcia, and Rebecca Toulouse, Step-daughter Kathy (Terry) Ethridge He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Linda (Lon) Davis, brother Rudy (Theresa) Curd and many nieces and nephews.
Don dedicated his life to helping others. He was known by all to be kind and charitable: always eager to help others. Don was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church. He belonged to the Rolling Thunder, Jupiter, FL Elks Lodge, and was active in the Bowmantown Ruritan. Don was proud to be a Shriner. He just received his 50 years of service certificate. He was a master electrician by trade retired from TVA. Don also enjoyed farming and had a great love for cars and motorcycles.
His funeral will take place Friday, May 17, 2024 at Boones Creek Christian Church. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm with services at 7pm. The burial will take place Saturday May 18, 2024 10 am at Monta Vista Memorial Park with friends and family welcome for a lunch at Boones Creek Christian Church 12-2pm.
Pallbearers: Jim Eldred, Dereck Eldred, Brad Eldred, Jeff Payne, Jeffrey Payne, Gabe Garcia, Eric Garcia, Laz Rodriguez, Craig Toulouse, and Brock Toulouse.
