KINGSPORT - Dona Faye Kennedy, 64, of Kingsport, was called home to be with her husband, Friday morning unexpectedly. Dona was born in Kingsport and attended Sullivan High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mom to many others. She was a faithful member of F.O.E., where she was active.
Dona was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Kennedy; husband, Glen Fritz; sister-in-law, Brenda Fritz; and uncle, Carl Light.
Survivors include her children, Daniel Leroy, Garrett Leroy and wife, Katrina, Carla Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy and wife, Hilary; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Betty Jo (Kennedy) Melear; brother, Scott Kennedy; and her beloved pet, Beemer.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or anytime at her mother's home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
