Doris Sullivan Obituary

BRISTOL, VA - Doris Sue (Sally McCroskey) Sullivan, age 70, of Bristol, VA, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. She was born on May 19, 1953 to the late James and Margaret Murray. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, John Murray, George Murray, Barbara Jean Pruitt, Phyllis Reynolds, Mary Sue, Anna Lee Wolfe and Laura.

Sally had a straightforward personality. She could often be found outside gardening or doing yard work. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike McCroskey; children, Margaret Crawford (Stanley), Junior Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, and Kelly McCroskey; stepson, Steven McCroskey (Shonda); brother, Scott Murray; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A gathering for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blevins Funeral Home.

A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Gardner's Chapel Cemetery, Boozy Creek Rd., Bristol, VA beginning at 1:00 PM.
