GATE CITY, VA - Dorothy Ann (Bledsoe) Hensley, 75, Gate City, VA, passed away, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Dorothy was born on October 1, 1947, in Kingsport, TN, and was the daughter of the late H.C. (Hayes Clyde) Bledsoe and Lois Ann (Frazier) Bledsoe.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Albert Hensley, and brother, Virgil Bledsoe preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters, Dorinda Rhoton (Bill), Donna Tipton; brothers, Hayes Bledsoe, Jr. (Joyce), Randall Bledsoe (Emma); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Larry Tolley officiating. The Hensley Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
Bill Rhoton, Kevin McConnell, Keith McConnell, Allen McConnell, R.S. Calhoun, and Stanley Pruitt will serve as pallbearers. Colleagues of Food City will serve as honorary pallbearers.
