Jesus took a special Angel on his Birthday
KINGSPORT - Dorothy Mae Powers 96, of Kingsport passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25,2023
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Frank Powers and daughter Jackie Powers Derrick.
She is Survived by sons Wayne Powers (Margaret, Gary Powers (Lisa) David Powers (Rita) and daughters Linda Eaton (Tom) Brenda Eckenrode (Ken). 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Wexford House and Amedysis Hospice for all the love and care given to Dorothy.
Visitation will be held on January 2,2024 at East Lawn Memorial Park
Graveside services to by Rev. Tim Price.

I believe Dorothy would have been so excited to know she was going home on Such a precious day. She was a sweet heart and a dear friend to my grandparents (Freeman Glass) and family. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they adjust to the loss of her in this life.

Dorothy was a dear friend of my parents and worked with them for quite some time. Her and Frank are fondly in my memories. Prayers and Condolences to her precious family and a life well lived. We will miss her.
