MOUNT CARMEL - Dustin Trevor Grindstaff, 38, of Mount Carmel, TN passed away unexpectedly at his residence and entered into Glory on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

Dustin graduated from Elizabethton High School and from Northeast State Community College with honors of Summa Cum Laude. He was employed by Eastman Chemical Company as an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the last 15 years.

Dustin was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for the Mount Carmel Fire Department and the Goshen Valley Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, rope rigging, tree felling, and riding his 4-wheeler.

Dustin was always eager to help his friends and family. To call him a friend was a blessing.

He shared a beautiful life and was a wonderful husband and best friend to his wife, Whittnee Grindstaff.

He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Dean Grindstaff of Elizabethton, TN.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Whittnee Grindstaff of Mount Carmel, TN; his mother, Kathy Grindstaff of Elizabethton, TN; his fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Bob and Kim Rains of Rogersville, TN, and David and Diana Palmer of Kingsport, TN; and all his beloved pets, Abby, Gracie, Tilly, Iris, Ernest, Poppy, Flora, Polly, Olive, and Fig.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5:00-6:45 pm in the funeral home chapel.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Tim Davies officiating. Music will be under the direction of Billy Bryant.

The Goshen Valley Volunteer Fire Department will accord the Firefighters Last Alarm Service following the Celebration of Life Service.
