Elizabeth "Betty" Shea
February 4, 2025
Elizabeth A. "Betty" Shea of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2025 at the age of 81 years old. She most recently resided at the Pontiac Nursing home in Oswego, NY.
Born May 4th, 1943 in Syracuse, NY to the late Frank and Blanche Haslberger. Betty was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner and later a Physician Assistant. She retired from the Syracuse Development Center as a PA in the Employee Health Department.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Blanche Haslberger; her twin sister, Sandy Collier; brother-in-Law, Ron Collier; and nephew, Ronnie Collier.
Survived by her son, Ed (Lucinda) Shea of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter, Terry (Paul) Haberek of Cicero; grandchildren, Bradley, Eric, Lauren and Ryan Shea and Paul and Evan Haberek; niece, Suzie Phillips of Clinton; and nephew, Michael (Michelle) Collier of Warners.
Betty will be lovingly remembered as "Grandma Pizza" and "Aunt Bet". There was no greater joy to her than spending time with her six grandchildren, whom she adored. She couldn't have been more proud of each of them. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts!
Calling hours will be Saturday, February 8th from 12-2PM at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, NY. Funeral services and interment will be private and held at a later date.
