Frances Henry January 10, 1942 March 31, 2024 WEBER CITY, VA - Ellen Frances (Carter) Henry, 82, Weber City, VA passed away, Sunday, March 31, 2024, at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.
Frances was born in Greene County, TN on January 10, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Samuel Ray and Mary Ethel (Mowell) Carter.
Frances was a retired Dietary Aide with Wellmont-Holston Valley Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Donald Lee Henry, great granddaughter, Nora Brooke Bradshaw, and brothers, J.C. "Jake" Carter, James Paul Carter, Samuel Carter, Charles Carter, Harlan Carter, and Claude Carter, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters: Beverly Williams and husband, Stephen, Sherry Christian and husband, Phillip; Marquita Templeton and husband, O.C.; sons: Ron Bradshaw and wife, Kyung (Sin Nan), Anthony Henry and wife, Melissa; Brian Henry and wife, Tammy: grandchildren: Daniel Henry, and fiancé, Amber Hodge, Shauna Henry and fiancée, Justin Safranyos, Jessica Barber and husband, Nick; Sean Bradshaw and wife, Amber; Carter Henry, Lily Henry; Lazaro Marin; Ezekiel (Zeke) Williams; Corey Williams; Nate Williams, Brad Christian and wife, Kimberly; Ben Christian and wife, Mandy; Josh Steadman and wife, Heather; Carlee Frye and husband, Rickie: great- grandchildren, Kylo Henry; Kooper Henry; Scarlett Barber; Caroline Bradshaw; Hunter Barber; Hendryx Williams; Maeve Bradshaw; Harper Barber (expected in June 2024); Mason Christian; Austin Christian; Liliana Frye; Mallory Steadman; Kyler Christian; and Bentley Christian. Sister: Eula Necessary, life-long friends: Freda Elliott and Brenda Repass, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of her son, Brian Henry. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Alan Buckles officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., at the Henry Cemetery, in the Snowflake community of Gate City, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, to go in procession to the Henry Cemetery.
