Frances Benton April 17, 1943 - July 22, 2024
CHURCH HILL - Frances Benton, 81, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 22, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Frances was born on April 17, 1943, and was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. She was of the Baptist faith and attended several churches over the years until her health declined, the most recent being New Beginnings Assembly. Frances was a CNA and cared for countless patients over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and friend to many, and will always be remembered for the wonderful, and caring woman she was.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Maggie Christian; husband, Earl Benton; daughter, Vickie Patterson; sons, Keith, Mark, and David Benton; and 2 great granddaughters, Raegan, and Rainne Neeley.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Amy Bradshaw (Bart); grandchildren, Jason Patterson (Angie), Kellie Neeley (John), Josh Bradshaw (Jackie), Eddie Justin Patterson (fiancée, Megan), Chris Bradshaw, Aaron Bradshaw (Kendra), Brandon Byrd, and Danny Benton; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Madison, Maci, McKenna, Atlee, Jamison, and Landon; brother, Lucian Christian; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family would like to thank her nurse, Sarah Johns, her CNA, Angie Reed and the UT Hospice staff.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rex McMurry, and Bob Simpson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Benton Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 AM to go in procession.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Patterson, Eddie Patterson, Aaron Bradshaw, Chris Bradshaw, Brandon Byrd, and Lucian Christian.
