Franklin B. Myers, Jr.

October 30, 2024

Franklin B. Myers Jr., age 66, died on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. Frank was born in Raleigh, NC and received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University. He was employed by Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN, first as a chemical engineer and later as a systems analyst. In his retirement, Frank enjoyed working with computers and was always happy to help friends, family, and neighbors with their computer problems. He will be greatly missed! He also enjoyed reading and could easily read a book a day. He was a quiet, kind, even-tempered man.

Frank is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan Myers of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Alline Myers of Gaithersburg, MD and Sibyl Myers of Raleigh, NC; one niece, Erica Myers of College Park, MD; and his mother-in-law, Carolyn Weldon of Orange City, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and JoAnne Myers, and one sister, Elizabeth Myers, all of Raleigh, NC.

In accordance with Frank's wishes, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

I am so sorry to learn of Frank's passing. We worked together some time ago. He was always so kind and glad to help others. I am sorry for your loss.
