CHURCH HILL- Gary Lynn Minor, 76, of Church Hill went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center after an extended illness with his loving family by his side.

Gary owned and operated Minors' Markets for 42 years, he was a jack of all trades, a family man and all-around good guy who had a heart of gold. Gary loved to vacation at the beach and spend time with his family. Gary served his country in the United States Navy.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Carl "A.C." and Athalea Minor; sisters, Brenda Gray, Charlotte Minor and Anita Horne; brother, Wayne Minor; fathers-in-law, Dave Ward, and James Gray; sister-in-law, Robin Thompson; brother-in-law, Michael Ward.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna Minor; daughters Kelly (Shawn) Short and Sarah Minor; Grandchildren, Karlie (Noah), Riley, Bradyn, and Emersyn; bonus grandchildren, Colton and Grayson; great grandson Hudson; Mother-in law Wanda Gray (whom he loved very deeply); Brother- in- law, Scottie (Becky) Ward; sister-in-law, Kristy (Michael) Salyer along with his special nephew, Brian Gray; special cousin, Lorrie Christian; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Gary will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Johnson- Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating. An entombment service will follow the funeral service at Church Hill Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Gray, Scottie Ward, Seth Christian, Daniel and Ethan Ward and Dylan Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers and special friends Drexel Allen Jr. and Kyle Calton.

The Minor family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gary's home health nurse Shirley, the Doctors and Nurses of Ballad Health and the Bristol EMS who took such great care of Gary.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Gary's memory.
