Gary Winford Vicars November 18, 1939- June 3, 2024
PIGEON FORGE - Gary Winford Vicars, 84, of Pigeon Forge, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Gary was born November 18, 1939, in Nickelsville, VA to the late Delmas Vicars and Clarice McConnell Vicars.
He was a Deacon at Ft. Robinson Baptist Church for many years, and a member of Gumstand Baptist Church.
Gary was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam.
He enjoyed collecting antique cars, building houses, and he was the owner of Vicars Roadside Market.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sabrina Vicars.
Those left to cherish Gary's memory are his wife of 56 years, Karen Vicars; grandson Brayden Buckles and his girlfriend, Greyson Stevens; sister, Judy Beckner; sister-in-law, Rita J. Morris; one niece and one nephew; and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ronald Reagan officiating.
A Military Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm and will be under the direction of the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Christus Garden. Family friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gumstand Baptist Church, 3031 Veteran Blvd., Pigeon Forge, TN 37863
