CHURCH HILL – Glenda Faye Barrett, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Glenda was born on July 19, 1948, in Rogersville, and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member at Northfork Baptist Church. Glenda loved bowling and loved spending time with her family and taking care of them.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clamon Barrett; son, Brad Barrett; parents, Bart and Dolly (Cradic) Birchfield; and her brothers, Carroll Birchfield; B.L. Birchfield and Ronnie Birchfield.
She is survived by her son, Craig Barrett and wife, Kara; grandsons, Braden, Clamon, and Coy Barrett; sisters, Aileen Parker, Brenda Love, and Thelma Robinette; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Payne, and Rev. Chip McLain officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 PM to go in procession. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
