Glenn Richard Quarles, Sr., born August 18, 1954 in Greenwood, SC, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, surrounded by his three children.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Evia Eccles Quarles, His brother Alvin Rhett Quarles, Jr., and his father Alvin Rhett Quarles, Sr.
Glenn was a brilliant mind, a compassionate physician, an avid cinephile, sarcastic beyond measure, a loving father, and dearly loved by his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Virginia Quarles (John) Moore, Glenn Richard (Calandra) Quarles, Jr., and George Ernest (Megan) Quarles.
Glenn leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren: Isaiah Robert Moore, Lydia Renee Moore, Daniel Richard Moore, Lillian Eva Quarles, Graham Rhett Quarles, Brooks Markeson Quarles, Benjamin Miller Quarles, Vivian Ella Quarles, and Gwendolyn Monet Quarles.

Quarles, Sr. We lovingly embrace our chapter member Dr. Calandra Quarles and family who continue to cherish the memory of the life he lived and shared with them. Loni, words cannot fill the void that you have, but please know that we continue to pray for and are thinking of you and your family as you mourn her passing.
