Glenna Fuller Obituary

Glenna Sue Fuller October 9, 1936 - July 23, 2024

MOUNT CARMEL - Glenna Sue Fuller, age 87 of Mount Carmel, went home to be with her Savior and loved ones on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her home with her girls by her side. Glenna was born on October 9, 1936, in Kingsport, TN to Fred and Ruth Click.

Glenna was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her sweet and kind personality. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for 70 plus years, serving in many different positions. She especially loved her Sunday School class (Senior Ladies).

Glenna was employed by Bennett & Edwards Insurance and AFG prior to the birth of her daughters. She then was a stay-at-home mom until resuming work as a substitute teacher and assistant with Hawkins County Schools. She also served the remainder of Charles' term on the Hawkins County School Board.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruth Click; husband, Charles Fuller; and her precious grandson, Tyler Bates. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carole Fuller of Mt. Carmel, and Caren Bates and husband Brian of Cookeville, TN; granddaughter, Leeah; and many loving family members and friends.

Glenna's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Suncrest Hospice, especially her nurse, Jackie Reeves and Chantel Long. The family would also like to thank her many friends and church members who would come to visit and bring her treats.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Vanderbilt's Monroe Carell Jr Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology Research. https://www.childrenshospitalvanderbilt.org 2200 Children's Way, Nashville, TN 37232

We were so sorry to hear that Glenna had passed away. I was a high school classmate of Charles and we had gotten to know Glenna through the reunions. She was a sweet lady. Our sympathy to her family. John and Peggy Starnes

Glenna was one of my favorite people. She was a good neighbor, a wonderful church family member, and a great friend. Always a smile on her face. And we know she is enjoying her new home in Heaven.
Our hearts break with yours as you say you goodbye to your mama. We hold you in our prayers today and in the days ahead.
