Grace Anna Baird July 25, 1998- September 24, 2024
Grace Anna Baird, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2024. She was born on July 25, 1998 at Holston Valley Hospital to the late Melissa Brooks Baird and Mark Baird. Grace attended Cherokee High School where she played softball and was a member of the swim team. She was in the top 15 of Miss Teenage America. She was very artistic, creative, funny, sweet, and had the kindest soul you'd ever meet. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children, Akira and Abigail. Grace was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, granddaughter, aunt and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Melissa Brooks Baird; grandparents, Dan H. Brooks and Shirley N. Baird; uncle, Brian Baird.
She is survived by her father, Mark Baird; precious children, Akira and Abigail; sister, Haley Wilder (Joey); grandmother, Brenda Brooks; grandfather, Jerry Baird (Anna); uncles, Richard Baird (Tracy) and John Brooks; two special nephews, Jackson and Cooper; one special niece, Maddy; special cousin, Tyler; and Grace's husband, Max Southerland.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 28 from 1-2pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will begin at 2pm with Rev. John North officiating. Burial will immediately follow in McKinney Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www. christiansells.com.
