Hiram H Bowling Jr. was in the 2nd Battalion, 301st Infantry Regiment in February 1945. He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal for his outstanding performance in all combat operations. His medal was awarded on the same orders that my father was awarded his. I have a copy of those orders for anyone who may want a copy which details the reasons it was awarded. I lived in Church Hill, Tn for many years and would have looked him up had I known he lived there. You may contact me at my email: [email protected]. Sidney Smith.
