Holly Lynn Burgess April 17, 1982 - April 2, 2024 CLINTWOOD, VA & GATE CITY, VA - Holly Lynn Burgess, 41, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Dickenson Community Hospital.
Holly was born in Kingsport, TN on April 17, 1982. She graduated from Carroll County High School. Holly was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and extended family at Journey House.
She was preceded in death by her stepfathers, James Hillman and Ed Price; maternal grandparents, A.B. and Ova Coley.
Surviving are her mother, Patty Hillman, Gate City, VA; father, Bobby Joe Burgess, New Kent, VA; sisters, Melissa Seaver (Brandon), Gate City, VA, Melanie McMurray (Matt), Gate City, VA; stepsister, Maretta Radford (David), Jacksonville, FL; stepbrother, Jimmy Hillman (Tracy), Mt. Carmel, TN; nieces and nephews, Paige Seaver, Ayden Seaver, Trent Seaver, Elijah McMurray, Elan McMurray, Salem McMurray, Andrew Radford (Jami), Tucker Hillman and Riley Hillman (Brianna).
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Gate City United Methodist Church, 255 Walnut St, Gate City, VA. Services will be held at 5:00 pm with Pastor Vernon McDavid and Rev. David Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Kristen Smith.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matt McMurray, Elijah McMurray, Elan McMurray, Landon Fletcher and friends of the family. Brandon Seaver will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
