Howard Ferguson Obituary

COLLEGE STATION, TX - Howard Dean Ferguson, 86, passed away on July 8, 2023, in College Station, TX. Family is planning on hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:30 am at the Snook Assembly of God, 10137 County Road 270, Snook, TX.

Dean was born on March 1, 1936, in Fall Branch, Tennessee to Bordia and Alma (Sherffey) Ferguson. He lived in Kingsport, TN and worked at the glass plant there for 10 years before moving to California in 1964. In California, he enjoyed working with his son, Tim Ferguson at Ferg's Construction for over 15 years. Dean then moved to Texas in 1990 where he worked at Buffalo Ranch before moving to College Station in 1992. In 1992, he went to work with Edsel Jones at the Koppe Corp until his passing.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Bordia and Alma Ferguson; sisters, Carlene and Pauline; and his brothers, Don, George and Buford. He is survived by his loving wife, Maidee Ferguson; his children, Sherry Ferguson, Deborah Lozeda, Tim and Tony Ferguson, Danny Edrington, Dana Clement, and Darla Barrett; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Doug, Russell, Truman, Ronnie, Fred and Frank; sisters, Margaret Taylor, Jean Wallen and JoAnn Carper; 34 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Pleasant Hill Children's Home, PO Box 1177, Fairfield, TX 75840
