Hughie Marvin Broadwater March 3, 1953- September 20, 2024
GATE CITY, VA - Hughie Marvin Broadwater, 71, Gate City, VA, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Hughie was born in Kingsport, TN, on March 3, 1953, to the late Hughie "Hoot" Broadwater, and Mary Alice (Haga) Broadwater.
His parents, Hughie and Mary Alice precede him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Broadwater; daughter, LeeAnn Holtzclaw (Joel); son, James Broadwater; sisters, Peggy Marshall Seiber (Ed Seiber), and Nancy Culbertson (Larry); brothers, Howard Broadwater (Janet), and Billy Joe Broadwater; grandchildren, Ethan Broadwater, Tyler Ramey, Alex Broadwater, Toby Broadwater, Breydan Broadwater, and Owen Broadwater; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Tipton's Chapel Cemetery, Gate City, VA, with Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Morgan Culbertson will provide the music. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:15p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family will receive friends at any time at the home of his son, James Broadwater.
