J. Moss Obituary

KINGSPORT - J.C. Moss, 89, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025.
J.C. was born in Richland, GA to the late Ernest and Ethel Moss.
J.C. was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was of the Baptist faith.
J.C. was a U.S. Army Veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired from Eastman after more than 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; grandson, Dustin; son-in-law, James; and daughter, Carol (Susie).
Those left to cherish J.C.'s memory are his sons, Jonathan (Clay) Moss and wife, Tina of Kingsport, Rodney Moss and wife, Polly of Gallatin TN; daughter, Amy Walsh of Duluth GA; seven grandchildren, Stephen Starnes, Tara Blair, Ashley Morrison and husband, Steve, Jonathan Moss, Cody Coffman, Jared Moss and wife, Haley, Erin Moss and Brianna Walsh; six great- grandchildren, Lindsey, Kylie, Brand, Alexis, Jade, and Emily.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm Friday, April 4, 2025, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow in the chapel with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.
A Military Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation. The service will be under the direction of the American Legion Hammond Post #3/Gate City Post #265 and the Tennessee National Guard.
