Jack Lawson was born on April 7, 1935, in Eidson TN to Gale and Jane Lawson. Passed on October 23, 2024.
Jack enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. Upon his return to the United States, he met the love of his life Jane Holcomb. They married in 1960 and were married 61 years until her passing in March of 2021. He retired from AFG industries, Church Hill Plant, and then continued to farm until his passing. Dad had a wonderful sense of humor, and a smile that would make you want to smile also.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane; Sisters, Catheline Lawson, Margaret Anderson; and his brothers, Gale Lawson Jr, and Nick Lawson.
Survivors are his daughters, Jackie Reeves (Allen), Jo Lawson; Grandsons, Chris Reeves (Stacy), Thomas Reeves (Brittany); great grandchildren, Hunter, Zane, Jace, Kross, Jazmine, Jaxton and Jessie; Sister, Nancy Anderson, Brother Donnie (Linda) Lawson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Thank You to the staff at the waters of Kingsport, and Suncrest hospice for the loving care you gave dad during his brief illness.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will follow in procession to Elm Springs Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Serving pallbearers will be family and friends.
