KINGSPORT - James Robert Arnold, 64, of Kingsport, TN, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
James dedicated over 34 years of service to the Sullivan County Highway Department.
James was a dedicated family man. He had an unconditional love for his family and friends. He was a loving father who loved to laugh and have a good time. He always had a smile on his face.
James loved woodworking & mowing. His most beloved hobby was working. He was a good leader in his family and life.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cora Arnold; his wife of 44 years, Janet Arnold.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer and husband Jamie Housewright; Jody and husband Jonathon Kennedy; sister, Judy White and husband James; special friend and fiancé Terri Light; and countless cousins and friends.
We will receive friends anytime at James's residence. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Centers. The funeral will follow, with Pastor Danny Dolen officiating.
Graveside will follow at Bowser Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ivan Light, Jake Fletcher, Tim Fletcher, Doug Crawford, Alan Spurlock, Logan Shipley. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Sullivan County Highway Department.
