James D. "Jim" Hagood June 2, 1938- July 18, 2024
CHURCH HILL - James D. "Jim" Hagood, 86, known all over East Tennessee as the owner of Hagood and Sons Towing, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.
Jim was the owner/operator of Hagood and Sons Towing Service for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong resident of Church Hill.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Adams) Hagood in 2017; and his two sisters, Mary Jean Jones, and Thelma "Pon" Adams.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Vickie Osborne (Dennis), and Lisa Ferguson (Scott); sons, Terry Hagood (Sharon), Michael Hagood (Elizabeth), and Bobby Hagood; two brothers, Bill Hagood (Johnnie) and Ken Hagood; as well as several grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
The family would like to say a special thanks to JCMC 4th Floor, and Amedysis hospice for the love and care given to Jim.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Darrell Thacker officiating. A graveside service will follow in procession to Elm Springs Cemetery. Music will be provided by Joanie Crigger. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be David Jones, and Ralph Herron.

Jim was one of most oldest friends and was always there for me and my family. The lord has recieved an angel when he was received at the golden gate. I will be praying for you all and the family most of all. We loved and will always love you Jim
