James Patton (Pat) McKenzie passed away Sunday, January 12, 2024.
James was born January 27, 1958, in Kingsport, TN to the late Paul William McKenzie and Geraline Lemons McKenzie.
He attended Sullivan West High School.
James was a small business owner as a painter for over 40 years.
He was a man who deeply loved and cared for his family.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by several uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and special cousin, Joan Robinson.
Those left to cherish James' memory are his wife of over 45 years, Phyllis Wallen McKenzie; brother, Paul Junior McKenzie and partner, Elizabeth Laster; sister, Paula Hahn, of Germany, and her family; daughter, Kay McKenzie Salyer (Randy); son, William "Willie" McKenzie (Shelley); granddaughters, Courtney, Christen, and Ciara; grandsons, Clay, Tyrus, and Trenton; great-grandchildren, Aaryah, Onyx, Axley, Rylan, Grey, and Toby; his dog, Mason; and grand dog, Tank.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2025, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 8:00 pm with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.
