James Swoager Obituary
MOUNT CARMEL - James Swoager, age 73, of Mount Carmel, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
James worked at Joy Mining Machinery for over 30 years. He pastored at several area Churches including West Ridge Presbyterian, Cedarview, and for 4 years at Mountain City Presbyterian and Clinton Presbyterian. He was also a member of Bethany Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patty Swoager; children, Michele Foster and Bill Swoager; grandchildren, Kobe Andrade, Alyssa Swoager and Jake Swoager; sister, Garnet Kenchel of CO.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Daniel Cheevers officiating.
