James Wright Obituary
CHURCH HILL – James Donald "Donnie" Wright, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Church Hill Nursing Home.
Donnie was born on November 27, 1963, to the late James C. Wright and Joyce Byington. He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Volunteer High School. He loved and collected all things Star Trek. He was a wonderful son and brother with a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Donnie is survived by his stepfather, James A. Byington; two brothers, Roy Wright and Lynn Byington and his wife Becky; sister, Kathy Dougherty and her husband Jeff; several nieces, and nephews; as well as an uncle, aunts, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Mount Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital in Donnie's Name.
