Janice Elizabeth Alley February 15, 1962 - August 15, 2024
KNOXVILLE - Janice Elizabeth Dicks Alley entered into eternal rest after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She never met a stranger and made a lasting impact on those she met. She will be remembered for her big heart and smile. She loved her family deeply and will be missed. She was active in the youth group at Grace Baptist Church and tried to be a mentor to "her girls". Later, she was active in the small group ministry at Faith Promise Church. Janice was preceded in death by her biological father, Douglas Dicks of Williston, SC and father, Jimmy Crawford of Church Hill, TN. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, David Alley; sons, Matthew Alley (Danielle) and Aaron Alley; mother, Elise Crawford; sister, Susan Crawford, along with special Aunt and Uncle Miriam and Winford Dyches; special friend, Thomas Hicks and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and special friends including, her co-workers at Premise Health, the Knoxville Fire Department, Knoxville Police Department and other city employees. Family will receive friends at Weaver Chapel on Wednesday from 3-7 pm with the service to follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Janice Alley to, Fire Fighter Incident Fund, Knoxville Fire Fighters Credit Union, 5207 Schubert Rd., Knoxville, TN 37912, or Knoxville Public Safety Foundation, P.O. I am truly sorrow for your loss. Janice was a very special person She made my trips to the center a lot less stressful than they might have been. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten
