Janice Christian Obituary
KINGSPORT – Janice Sue Christian, 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Janice was born in Hawkins Co. on April 1, 1953, to her parents, Robert "Jack" and Sue Horton. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Gravely Valley Baptist Church. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Russell, and Helen Mosley; and her brother, J.E. Horton.
She is survived by her sisters, Pauline Jones, and Anna Ruth Horton; brother, Thomas Horton (Deb); brother-in-law, Ron Mosley; special friend, Shirley and Cecil Mowdey; special neighbor, Deb; as well as several nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Terry Bennett officiating. A graveside service will follow at Horton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
