Janie France Obituary
KINGSPORT - Janie Harrison France, 85, of Kingsport passed away peacefully at The Blake with her family by her side.
Janie retired from Oak Hill Funeral Home, and she was a member of Mayfair United Methodist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Harrison and Beulah Huff Harrison; brother, John Harrison; and her sister, Nan Harrison Hyde.
Those left to cherish Janie's memory are her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, J. W. "Jay" France; daughters, Kim Osborne (Bill), Jan Cannon (Wade); son, Jeff France (Vandi); grandchildren, Carmen Rasnick (Kyle Meyer), Zac Rasnick (Dannielle), Brandon Cannon, Brittany Strufert (Adam); Maddie France, and Kate France; great-grandchildren, Emma Kate, Elliott, and Griffin Rasnick and Cannon and Crawford Strufert; and many friends and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
An Entombment Service will be held in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of The Blake for their compassionate care of Janie.
