Jay Raleigh April 29, 2024
KINGSPORT - Jay Raleigh, 79, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.
From racing to mowing grass, Jay loved to be outside. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was fun, active, and loved making everyone laugh. Jay was a great storyteller and knew Kingsport better than most. He enjoyed life.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mabel Raleigh; two brothers, Dave and Tommy Raleigh; and his sister, Shirley Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Raleigh; his sons, Greg (Misty) Raleigh and Jamie Raleigh; his grandchildren, Jesse, Chandler, and Casey; and his great-grandchildren, Porter and Ryder.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Center of Kingsport, Tennessee, on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A special word will be shared at 6:30 by Pastor Todd Jennings.
