BRISTOL - Jaynelle Sue Morris Bishop passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, at Ballad Hospice House in Bristol.
Jaynelle was born on October 29, 1939, to Harry L. Morris, Sr., and Virginia Gibson Morris.
After graduating from Lynn View High School in 1957, she attended ETSU and worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 40 years in plastic sales.
She also volunteered for many years at Indian Path Hospital.
Jaynelle was a member and elder of Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church and recently attended Bethel Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harry Bishop; and her second husband, Harold Tate.
Those left to cherish Jaynelle's memory are her brother, Harry Leland Morris, Jr. (Sharon); nephew, Jon L. Morris (Ashley); niece, Heather Branum (Rusty); great-nieces, Keely, Delaney, Bailey, and Addison; great-nephew, Jon Parker; her very special first cousin, Jennifer Earles (David); and many cousins and special lifelong friends.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Sermon on the Mount with Mark Knisley officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jaynelle's memory may be made a charity of your choice.
The care of Jaynelle Sue Morris Bishop and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
