KINGSPORT - Jeffrey Charles Quillen, 65, Kingsport, TN passed away, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Jeff was born in Kingsport, TN on February 16, 1959, and was the son of the late Nina Marie Elliott Quillen.

He was a member at Crossroads United Methodist Church at Alllendale in Kingsport, TN.

Jeff retired from Eastman Chemical Company working in the Chemical Engineering Division with 35 years of service. He also served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for 16 years and was also a member of the Kingsport Moose Lodge #972 for 15 years.

Everyone knew him by his smile and testimonies. He never met a stranger, and he loved a good conversation and would talk for hours if given the opportunity.

Jeff preached his own funeral while he lived by the way he cared for people and by his testimonies.

In addition to his mother, his brother, James E. (Bimbo) Quillen, sister, Lois Quillen Castle Keebler, brother-in-law, Alvin M. Clark, Jr., and his mother-in-law, Jean White Donelson preceded him in death.

Jeff leaves his wife of 37 years, Suzanne Donelson Quillen, daughter, Sara Grace Quillen and fiancé, Tyler Wilcox, sisters, Linda Quillen Clark, and Lana Marilyn Quillen Cole, niece, Marlene Hite (Robert), nephew, Kevin Michael Estep (Erica), great-niece, Heather King (Hunter) and children, great-nephews, Ethan and Luke Estep.

His father-in-law, Eugene Ray Donelson, brothers-in-law, Ron Donelson (Candy), Mike Donelson, and Gale Keebler, and sisters-in-law, Lisa Long and Michelle Donelson.

Nieces, Morgan Hipes (Travis), Madison Donelson, Tiffany Long, Brittany Dodgen (Adam), Michella Lawson (Jake), nephews, Jake Donelson (Nikki), Bryr Donelson, Cody Donelson and their children.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 13. 2024. at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Steve Collins officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, November 14, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:15 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
