KINGSPORT - Jerry Strange, 76, of Kingsport, went to be with the love of his life, Kathy, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his residence.
Jerry retired from Tennessee Eastman as a mechanic after 25 years of service. He was a member of Kendricks Creek United Methodist Church. Jerry was a 40+ year member of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688, the Scottish Rite Club and the Jericho Temple of the Shrine.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and was a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathy Crawford Strange; parents, Ralph and Gladys Luster Strange; five brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Renee Tate (David), Angie Bowser and Stephanie Doggett (Brian); grandchildren, Luke Fields (Shayna), Chris Doggett, Josh Doggett, Emma Doggett, Seth Bowser, Zeke Bowser, Noah Bowser and Anna Bowser; several nieces; nephews and his Fancher's Campground family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm Saturday, January 27, 2024, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Stephen Hopkins officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kendricks Creek United Methodist Church, 1000 Kendrick Creek Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.
The care of Jerry Strange and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.

So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I have known Jerry since the early sixties and tried to keep in touch with him and Kathy. We enjoyed going to D-B football games especially when they played Morristown and Noah the jinx was there. Gail and I will be thinking of the family.
