KINGSPORT - Reverend Jessie Michael "Mike" Brown, 77, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Jan. 5, 2024. He was born to Jessie & Ruby Brown on Feb. 17, 1946, in Pulaski, VA. Mike was a beloved husband, father, "Peepaw," & great "Peepaw."
Mike's greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Hildreth "Jo" Brown; & five children, William and Joanie Brown, Carl & Carrie Brown, Tim & Jill Brown, Laura Brown, and Marti & Brian Timm; nine grandchildren, Jonathan (Hannah) Brown, Christina (Jonny) Haselden, Michael (Carey) Eshbaugh Brown, Nathaniel Brown, Zachary Brown, Selah Brown, Ella Brown, Addison Timm, Kaden Timm & one great-grandson Micah Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie & Ruby Brown, his sister Judy & Chatter Duncan, & his first wife, Faye Hollins Brown.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Fri., Jan. 12 at Bible Baptist Church. A ceremony celebrating Mike's life will be held at Bible Baptist Church on Sat., Jan. 13, at 10 am. A graveside service will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church.
